Scott spent a lot of time moving as a kid — both from place to place and one adventure to the next. From sailing in San Diego to hiking in the Colorado Rockies, his family was always getting outside. Fishing and hunting in his youth gave way to scuba diving and kayaking in his young adult years before he found his way back to the mountains with a passion for skiing and backpacking. Scott began his career in the outdoor industry in outfitting and retail before 20 years of big brand development for companies such as Teva, Keen, Ahnu, and The North Face, and side projects tied to adventure experiences as course director with Eco Challenge and Primal Quest. He has spent the past seven years focused on moving organizations through transitional periods and speaking on market trends in the outdoor and recreation economy.
