Peter Bonfante shares his clients’ commitments to making sustainable and meaningful changes in the communities that they serve. Peter’s business law practice spans the entire business cycle of a company, from organization and formation through an eventual exit with a focus on technology, consumer products and fashion and apparel companies. Peter began his legal career at Coudert Brothers and later joined Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker where he counseled several Fortune 500 companies. He later founded the well regarded, community-based boutique law firm Bonfante Steinbeck, PC.  Peter joined Sustainable Law Group, PC in 2013.

Peter takes great pride in his social enterprise legal practice, working with both cause-based, for-profit companies and social entrepreneurs. Peter recognizes that enterprises can be profitable and also drive positive social change and routinely supports his clients by designing appropriate legal structures that fit each client’s purpose. Peter also counsels his clients on their cause-based marketing campaigns and assists commercial co-venturers with state registration and disclosure requirements. Peter shares his clients’ commitments to making sustainable and meaningful changes in the communities that they serve and is proud to contribute legal acumen to their causes. Peter also heads the firm’s Fashion & Apparel practice. As a fashion and apparel lawyer, Peter’s practice focuses on both transactional and enforcement issues encountered in the fashion industry. Peter routinely counsels clients on the creation, protection, use and enforcement of his clients’ creative content, including trademarks and copyrights, domestically and internationally. Outside of Sustainable Law Group, PC, Peter also serves as an officer to an apparel manufacturer. J.D., Loyola Law School, State of California Bar Membership
