BarrelVC is an early stage fund based in Chicago. With an extensive 50+ years of operating history in the food & beverage, consumer, retail and distribution industries, we are looking to partner with exceptional entrepreneurs creating category-defining ideas.

BarrelVC’s portfolio includes: Olipop, Love Corn, Daily Gem, Drink Haus, Pod Foods, Clove, and Jumbotail.

Prior to founding BVC, Nate was the co-founder and President of Wise Apple, a company focused on changing the way kids eat, starting with a tech enabled solution for school lunch. Prior to Wise Apple, Nate was a founding partner of L3Hospitality group, the owner of LYFE Kitchen. Nate is a graduate of the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University and received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was awarded a Kellogg Scholarship, and named a Zell Fellow. He has been a featured speaker at the Kellogg School of Management, Pritzker School of Law, Google Chicago, Roosevelt University, and Brand Love Academy-Presented by Oath.
